ACCOMMODATION

10 nights in bivouac under tent, 1 night in a hotel of category 3 *** and 2 nights in a charming riad in Marrakech.

TECHNICAL SHEET

Formalities :

A passport valid for 3 months from the day of entry into Morocco is required (essential), for nationals of the European Community (no visa).

For minors, they must have their own passport.

If the child is traveling with someone other than his or her parents :

An authorization or a legalized letter to the mayor indicating that their parents allow their child to go on a trip with the person accompanying him / her.

Health :

It is about being in good physical condition. During the hike, it is necessary to be self-sufficient and take with you a medicine kit (dressings, aspirin, anti-inflammatory, antibiotics, anti-diarrhea, total screen, lip balm, disinfectant tablets, eye drops).

Water and drinks :

For this trek, the supply of water is made in sources, its treatment is recommended (type Micropur). Tea is served at noon (except for the stages where the mules do not follow the same route as the group) and at the arrival of stage. In the evening a tea is offered after the meal.

Portage :

Each participant walks on foot with a light backpack, containing only the personal belongings necessary for the day (gourd, camera, pharmacy kit …). The rest of the equipment and the equipment of bivouac, as well as the refueling, are transported according to your journey by the mules.

The price :

All prices depend on the number of participants.

The price indicated will be definitive (there will be no surprises of the additional costs!).

Framing :

A professional guide certified by the Mountain Trades Training Center (CFAMM) will accompany you for all our treks. Depending on the trip, you will be assisted by a team of mule drivers and cook.

You will be notified of the schedule and venue with your guide.

Money and tips :

Currency is the Dirham. 1 € = 10.60 Dh.

Allow cash to pay for your drinks and meals if not included in the estimate, and for tips for the team accompanying you during your hike / trip.

Accommodation :

To better enjoy the outdoors and nature, we opted for the formula “Bivouac” as accommodation. The places of our bivouacs are chosen according to several criteria: The beauty of site, the calm, the security, the proximity of a water point …. We provide two-seater tents with foam mattress with sleeping cover, mess tents for the evening meal, floor mats, cutlery and kitchen items.

In the city of Marrakech: 3 Nights in a 3 * hotel (based on Moroccan classification), in a double or triple room. There is possibility in single room / tent for an extra charge.
If you wish to stay in a different type of establishment such as a riad, a guest house or a 4 * or 5 * hotel! Contact us for more information.

Clothing and small items :

It is necessary to wear good quality shoes “hiking in the mountains”. It is hot during the day but the nights can be cool. It is therefore advisable to provide outfits accordingly: Anorak – polar – jogging – t-shirts – bermudas – hat or chèque, and sunglasses, gloves and hat will be welcome especially in the evening and early morning.

Headlamp, spare bulbs and batteries, lighter for burning litter, sunscreen for skin and lips, toiletries, toilet paper, cleaning wipes (especially in the desert where there is not a lot of rubbish, water).

Meals :

During the hikes they are prepared by a cook. Made with fresh products, they are mainly composed of salads cooked in midday and local dishes in the evening (couscous, tagine …). A full breakfast is served outdoors or in tents before starting the day. During the bivouacs and for more comfort, meals are served every night under the mess tent. Dry fruits (dates, dried figs, peanuts & pralines) are offered to the participants during the hike.

Materials to be provided :

Cloisonne sleeping bag, normal use 0 to -5 ° C – Hiking sticks especially for mountain descents – tennis or sandal with good soles – A rain cape.

Travel and Transportation :

Transfers are carried out in taxi, in group-reserved minibuses, or private 4×4. For your comfort and safety all vehicles have a tourist transport approval.

Photo / Videos :

Always ask for permission before photographing a person.

It is forbidden to photograph or film anything that is military.

Digital cameras: Have enough memory and batteries.

DAY BY DAY

Day 1 :
Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech, welcome at the airport and transfer to your hotel.

Departure for Zawyat-Ahençal via Azilal. 6h of road and track. Arrival at the beginning of the afternoon in Zawyat (1595 m). After lunch and loading the mules we leave for 2h30 of walk to the village of Taghia. Bivouac at 1890 m at the foot of Oujdad (2704 m). Elevation gain: 300 m. Difference in altitude -: 80m.

We cross the village of Taghia before taking a path on the cliff "the funnel" to reach the plateau of Tagougimte N tkayoute, Meanwhile, our mules make a long detour by the Aqqa n Tazarte, bivouac on the plateau Near a small source at 2700m. 3H30 walking. Elevation gain: 800 m. Difference in altitude -: 100m.

Hike on the plateau of agdal n'illmchan, with a beautiful view of the throat of taghia, and then join our bivouac towards the tizi n tighboula 2950m, in the afternoon stroll under the gorges of aqqa n'tazarte.5h Of walking. Elevation gain: 300 m. Difference in altitude -: 200m.

Crossing Tizi nTtighboula 3030m and then by the mountain of Adrar n'Ouchane, and then we cross Jbel Illitou by the pass of Tizi n Bouzou 3450m. Lunch after the pass. After lunch we go down to the village of Tichki for the bivouac at 2200m.6H30 walk. Difference in altitude +: 600 m. Difference in altitude -: 1250m.

We find the beautiful valley of Ouzirimte, passage in the villages of Igherm Izdarn and Imi n'Irkte. And from there the valley becomes more and more narrow. We walk along the water to Achaabou "the most impressive part, and then back to imi n'Irekt .. Bivouac to the village of Imi N'Irkt at 2000m. 6 hours of walking. Difference in altitude +: 100 m. Difference in altitude -: 300m.

We return to the beautiful valley of Ouzirimte, which we go along upstream, passing through several beautiful villages in earth: Tagherft, El Mrabtine, Talate n'Ireghen and join our bivouac to the allegations of Aflafal at 2400m. Difference in altitude: 400 m. Difference in altitude -: 100m.

Along the valley of Oullilimte, a wild valley, nomads from the south built shelters in the rocks for their families and cattle, lunch near the river before joining our camp at the foot of Mgoun at 2700m. Difference in altitude: 400 m. Difference in altitude -: 100m.

Very early in the morning, we attack the ascent of Mount Mgoun 4068, on the northern slope, from the summit a beautiful panoramic view on the two slopes of the central high atlas, Descent towards the Plateau of Tarkdidte and then our bivouac at the source of the Tassaoute. 8 hours of walking. Difference in altitude +: 1400 m. Difference in altitude -: 1400m.

Passing over the Wandras gorge, at 3,100 m, and descending, on a beautiful road in vire, to reach our bivouac near a spring, in the afternoon descent towards the wadi Tassaoute and then return to the bivouac In Idrmamne. 5 hours walk. Vertical drop +: 450m, Vertical rise -: 750m

Departure to discover the beautiful ocher villages of Tassaoute: Tassgrawalte, Tichki and Tassaoute n'Oufella, lunch near the gorges of Tassaoute, and then return to the bivouac. Difference in level: 350m, Difference in altitude -: 350m

We cross the Col de Rougoult 2800m, descent towards the north slope of tarkdidte, passage through several sheepfolds of altitude, bivouac just before the village of Rougoult. Difference in altitude: 400 m. Difference in altitude -: 1000m.

Last small morning of hiking along the valley of Ait Boulli, end of the hike in Abachkou, the place of rendezvous with our minibus. Transfer to Marrakech by Imi n Ifri and Demnate. Night in a Riad in the medina of Marrakech. Difference in altitude: 200 m. Difference in altitude -: 400m.
