Itinerary
Arrival in Marrakech, welcome at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by minibus to Tahnaoute and the road to Sidi Ali or Farés, we meet our muleteers and cook at Si Ali at 1550m, and then start the hike with a steady climb, picnic lunch on the way, after crossing the Tissili pass 2250m. and then join our bivouac at Tfirte with beautiful panoramic views over the Oussertek valley 2200 m.
About 4 hours of walking. Height difference: + 500 m, - 300 m
By the pass of Tizi n'oussertek , we change valley, descent towards the valley of Imnane, passage through the beautiful village of Ikkis and Amsakrou before going up to the pass of Aguerssioual at 1900 m, lunch not far from the river of Ait Mezane, afternoon climb to the village of Matat and bivouac below village.
Approximately 6.5 hours walk. Elevation gain: + 800 m, - 800 m
We climb below the village of Tizi n'Oussem and then by a path in balcony we reach the sheepfolds of Azib n Tamssoulte 2300m, passage near a beautiful waterfall, before finding our bivouac at the foot of the massif of Tazaraghte 2650m.
6h walk. Altitude difference: + 1100 m, - 400 m
A morning effort awaits us to cross the pass of Aglzim with its 3500m, an extraordinary view of the plain of El Haouz and the massif of Toubkal, and then descent to join our bivouac at the foot of Mount Toubkal 3150m.
4h walk. Elevation gain: + 650 m, - 400 m
Early morning for the ascent of the highest summit of Morocco and North Africa: Le Toubkal 4167m. From the top a beautiful panoramic view of the plain of Marrakech, on the southern slope of the atlas. Picnic lunch, and then descent to the same slope to find our bivouac 6h30 walk. Elevation: + 1000 m, - 1000 m.
Descent following the valley, passing through the holy village of Sidi Chamharouch «the king of the djainns» is buried here. Descent to the village of Aremd and then Imlil, last lunch with our team and after farewell our minibuses will drop us in Marrakech. Installation in your hotel.
